David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about questionable actions towards women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
