Barcelona to Host First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years since relocating so building work could begin.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Stadium Testing
Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
