At least 64 Dead in Rio de Janeiro's Most Extensive Police Raid on Gangs
No less than 64 people died in a security raid against the organized crime group in Rio de Janeiro's north zone - the biggest and most lethal operation in the region's past.
Four police officers were included in the fatalities during the security mission in the neighborhoods of Alemão and Penha, government representatives stated. Over 80 people were detained.
